Northwest Arkansas Friends - Hard to say goodbye!

After 14 years, we prepare to leave Northwest Arkansas full of so many fond memories that started with Cam and I moving to a small town in the beautiful Ozark mountains as a young couple with big dreams. We quickly settled in to our wonderful church group - all of us young, poor and full of energy and plans! Those were some good years, the foundation of our faith was built in those years and many lifelong friendships as well. Buying our first 2 homes, having 3 children and growing in career and faith, it's been an awesome ride! For me, it was finding out finally how to learn to be still and observe life around me, thanks to all of my wonderful friends from the Montessori school. The many blessings of the Walton Fitness Center I will never forget- Experiencing yoga, pilates and zumba - my favorite addictions in the world of fitness and the amazing ladies that taught me- and the wonderful swimming classes the kids always enjoyed. The unforgettable memories of the ladies of our church - all of the Bible studies that sometimes went very late into the afternoon or night, the counseling sessions to help each other out, the excitement in sharing our failures and successes, and most of all - the trials that burned our hearts together in many tears and smiles. To my newfound friends in the homeschool world - I thank God for all of your support! I will miss our group activities, shared philosophy sessions and the strength of all of you combined! Other things to note that will always be in my memories of NWA: Shakey's custard, Bentonville and Rogers Libraries (yes I'm a book addict!), shopping trips late at night for a nursing mom while Cam stayed home to give me sanity, Benton County Fair, beautiful fall leaves in the Ozarks, craft fairs, Tressie's homemade rolls, Johnny Carino's, The Jones Center swimming, Walton Arts Center productions, Thai Diner, Bill W., Cam's clematis vines on the house, our awesome home- I always felt like a queen to live there!- Fayetteville Square and Farmer's market and lights at Christmas, Dickson Street, the outdoor classroom at Walnut Farm, floating the buffalo, CYC, WalMart, grocery shopping with Dwight, Eureka Springs, KLRC Christian radio, the view from the top of Mt. Sequoyah and wide open spaces. Thanks for many wonderful years! .
