God still goes to public school in South Africa
I visited the school assembly for the first time to watch A play her flute with her music teacher. I had heard about these assemblies for years now - 3 times a week the kids came together to sing praises, pray and hear about the news of the day. Often there would be guest speakers. I must say that seeing it in person made me realize how blessed we are to be in a country where God still goes to school.
The kids started off with an oldie but goodie:
Then it was time for everyone to say the Lord's prayer together.
And now we sing it together...
Followed by a talk about the Titanic and the choices that people made on the ship that fateful day.
And the consequences that followed....
Ending off with a prayer - a great start to the school day!
