The Westville ladies hosted this year's Women at the Well weekend at Hebron Haven in the Midlands.
Sonya Szabo was our guest speaker and led a series of uplifting classes titled "Opening our Mouths with Wisdom." In these classes she encouraged us to transform our relationship with God, others and ourselves by communicating compassionately. The giraffe became our visual mascot for the weekend as she represents the type of person we should become:
Giant and gentle in personality, with big ears for listening, the largest heart of all mammals, allowing herself to be vulnerable when she stoops to drink from the waters, and having a long neck that allows her to turn and see far and wide with different views.
The meals at Hebron Haven were stunning as usual. Petru organized a fun mixer this year by having us draw slips out of a bowl for each meal to determine who would be at the tables together. The slips listed different fruit of the spirit and each table would have a chat about how God had used that fruit in their lives. Our table here happened to draw LOVE and look how we're dressed in red!
We were so glad to celebrate Eileen's 30th birthday with her!
We stayed in a traditional rondavel house with thatch roof and the pet pig guarding the entrance!
