This year we took a new route home to visit America- through Dubai and then over the Arctic Circle back down to L.A. We loved the service, food and fun gifts for the kids that the airline provided. On the way back to Africa, we had a 16 hour layover in Dubai. We were very excited to get our passports stamped and head out to see a few sights.
We stopped off to visit the World's tallest building, but unfortunately you had to have tickets a few days ahead, so we looked at it from afar while we watched a fantastic water fountain show set to music.
Inside was a fantastic mall with every store imaginable. Unfortunately we only had 2 hours before the mall closed at midnight, so we only did a bit of window shopping- and oh how the windows were dressed! We headed back to a hotel for a quick 6 hour sleep, which made all the difference in our jet lag coming home. What a nice end to our travels!
