Finally a trip to Isimangaliso Wetland Park a.k.a. St. Lucia, South Africa where the world's oldest land mammal (the rhino) and biggest terrestrial mammal (the elephant) share an ecosystem with the world's oldest fish (the coelacanth) and the world's biggest marine mammal(the whale). Now that's impressive. Although we only saw the rhino roaming the ecosystem this trip, it was incredible to see them walking down the middle of the neighborhood streets.
Before we left home, the kids held a serious meeting to discuss how to fairly divide up all the spoils for the camping goody bags - biltong, dried fruit, nuts, chocolate and the like.
A successful quorum was reached!
